مع تزايد عدد السكان حول العالم ، لا سيما في المدن ، هناك اهتمام واضح ومتزايد بدمج التكنولوجيا والابتكارات لإدارة الموارد المحدودة. والتحضر (التدفق المتزايد نحو المدن) هو ممارسة عالمية، حيث يعيش 48٪ من الآسيويين و 73٪ من الأوروبيين في المدن. وهذا الوضع (التحضر) أصبح أكثر أهمية في المملكة العربية السعودية حيث يعيش 83.8 في المائة من السكان (34.5 مليون) في المدن. علاوة على ذلك ، أصبح العالم الآن مرتبطًا رقميًا مما يتيح سهولة التواصل لإجراء المهام المختلفة. وبالتالي ، فإن العديد من الحكومات والثقافات والدول تتبنى التحول الرقمي لبناء مستقبل أكثر كفاءة وحيوية لجميع السكان. و تعتبر المملكة إحدى الدول التي تتبنى التحول الرقمي لبناء مستقبل أكثر كفاءة وحيوية لجميع السكان. وكأحد أبرز الفاعلين الاقتصاديين في العالم، تضمنت رؤية المملكة العربية السعودية لعام 2030 برنامج التحول الرقمي وتطوير المدن. يستهدف هذا التحول الرقمي جميع القطاعات العامة والخاصة في المملكة العربية السعودية للحصول على ثلاث مدن سعودية معترف بها ضمن أفضل 100 مدينة على مستوى العالم. لذلك ، تستخدم جامعة القصيم قدرتها البحثية للمساهمة في التحول الرقمي الآمن. كما تهدف إلى تلبية احتياجات ومتطلبات مجتمعنا من خلال توفير حلول تقنية مبتكرة لتطبيقات المدن الذكية والرعاية الصحية والزراعة والصناعة.

With the world's population expanding, particularly in cities, there is a growing interest in integrating technology and innovations to manage limited resources. Urbanization is a worldwide trend, with 48% of Asians and 73% of Europeans living in cities. This situation is critical for Saudi Arabia, where 83.8 percent of the population (34.5 million) lives in cities. Moreover, the world is now digitally linked and communicates to conduct various jobs. Consequently, many governments, cultures, and nations are adopting digital transformation to build a more efficient and livable future for all inhabitants. As one of the world's prominent economic actors, Saudi Arabia's 2030 agenda includes digital transformation and developing our cities. This digital transformation targets all Saudi Arabian public and private sectors to have three Saudi cities recognized in the top-ranked 100 cities globally. Therefore, Qassim university utilizes its research capability to contribute to safe and secure digital transformation. Not only that, it aims to meet the needs and requirements of our community by providing innovative technology solutions for smart city applications, healthcare, agriculture, and Industry 4.0.
